It's that moment you walk into the dark bedroom after work; night-light guiding your way.
It's that moment the little being on the bed squints his eyes as they open--wary wrinkles forming on his brow, until smoothed away as he sees that it's you.
It's that moment he watches you remove your earrings, as you smile and say, "I love you."
That feeling when he blissfully smiles and whispers, "I love you."
And when you say, "Go back to sleep," he nods his head and drifts off; safe, now that you are home.
(P.S. There is also that moment--a few moments later--when you realize he has fallen asleep in his face paint.) ;)
