Gratitude

I usually don't take part in the traditional gratitude blog post. I'm not sure why, but I never really feel like I can add anything else to what others have already said. But this year, there is no way I can go without one. I have so many things to be grateful for! But I warn you, that due to certain recent events, this gets pretty personal. Feel free to stop reading at any time. You have my permission.

I am grateful for God and his goodness. I am grateful for his love and direction in my life. I am grateful for his plan, which--I see now--is infinite in its nature...he's been planning my life since long before I was born!

I am grateful for blessings and miracles.

I am grateful for every breath my son still takes.

I am grateful for medicine, science, and education, and research, that allows my son to be given the most up-to-date care available.

I am grateful for my family, immediate and extended. I am grateful for their love, support, understanding, and friendship. I am grateful for being sent into the BEST family possible!

I am grateful for mothers--my own, myself, and others.

I am grateful for fathers--my own, and others.

I am grateful for family gatherings, and the welcoming of my aunt and uncle into their home.

I am grateful for the priesthood, and those who hold it, blessing the lives of those around them.

I am grateful for being able to live in this day and age, with so many comforts and needs readily available.

I am grateful for my grandpa, and his constant presence on my life.

And yes, I am grateful for my trials--even now--which allow me to grow and be blessed in ways I never thought possible.

My prayers have been answered, although in a way I never expected. And I am grateful.

P.S. You can read updates about Mason HERE.
